Our Story
The Gathering Place was created thanks to the generosity of donors and a transformative grant. This special space was built with two goals in mind:
1. To Empower Youth: By providing job opportunities to young people who have finished high school, we help them save for their futures and continue their education.
2. To Unite the Community: As its name suggests, The Gathering Place is where people come together—for live music, art, games, and great conversations.
What We Offer
🍽️ Food, Coffee, and Snacks
From hearty meals, including numerous vegan/vegetarian options, to perfectly brewed coffee, our menu is crafted to delight. Stop by for breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon treat.
🎨 Handmade Crafts
Our craft section is a treasure trove of unique pieces from talented Ugandan artisans. From ceramics to paper ornaments, every item tells a story and supports local talent.
📚 Lending Library
For the book lovers, our lending library offers a selection of titles to borrow, explore, and enjoy.

We host live music, arts events, and game nights, creating a welcoming space for everyone in the community to come together.
